Leathers

All our products are made using premium full-grain Italian vegetable-tanned leathers.

Full-grain

Full-grain leather features the bare and unfinished skin of an animal. The toughest fibers of the leather is in the top-most part. Large brands remove this part of because of the irregularities on each hide, by doing this, they sacrifice some of the durability the leather has. They want uniformity so they cover up the grain with paint and finishes. We on the otherhand embrace and appreciate the character of real leather.

Vegetable-tanned

Vegetable-tanning is the traditional way of tanning animal hides. It uses plant-derived tannins and extracts from leaves, fruit and tree barks to turn animal hides into leather. The long tanning period gives veg-tanned leathers more body and a pleasant smell unlike most chrome-tanned leathers.
